A Masseria Don Luigi Wedding in Puglia: Olivia & Kyle

Olivia and Kyle travelled from Canada to southern Italy for a wedding shaped by simplicity, natural beauty and the people closest to them.

Their Masseria Don Luigi wedding brought together the landscape of Puglia, their Jewish heritage and a group of family and friends who crossed the world to celebrate with them.

Surrounded by olive trees, white stone and warm earthy colours, the celebration felt elegant without becoming formal. Every element belonged to the setting, but the people remained at the centre of the story.

This page brings together both the trailer and the full wedding film, offering a complete view of how I approached Olivia and Kyle’s destination wedding in Puglia.

Olivia and Kyle’s Wedding Trailer

A short introduction to their celebration through movement, voices, music and spontaneous moments.

Olivia and Kyle’s Experience

“We couldn’t be happier with our wedding films. Luigi was discreet throughout the day and made us feel completely comfortable, allowing everything to happen naturally. The trailer captures the energy of the celebration, while the full film brought us back to the voices, emotions and little moments we had almost forgotten. It feels cinematic, personal and completely true to us.”

A Story That Kept Finding Its Way Back

Olivia and Kyle first met when they were sixteen at a summer camp near Montreal. Their lives continued to cross over the years through holidays, university and mutual friends, but the timing never seemed completely right.

After graduation, they reconnected once again. This time, the story continued.

Kyle proposed during a quiet walk on the beach in Miami in March 2023. When they began planning their wedding, Italy felt like a natural choice. They had fallen in love with the country during a trip to Sicily and continued returning to explore different regions together.

Puglia offered something new while preserving everything they loved about Italy: landscape, history, food and the possibility of gathering their closest people in one place.

Why They Chose Masseria Don Luigi

Olivia and Kyle wanted a venue surrounded by olive trees that could welcome their guests and provide accommodation for their immediate families.

Masseria Don Luigi, located near Savelletri di Fasano in the Valle d’Itria, offered the atmosphere and experience they had imagined.

The historic masseria is characterised by whitewashed architecture, an olive grove and a Mediterranean citrus garden. These spaces allow a wedding to move naturally throughout the day while maintaining a strong visual identity.

“It was the olive grove for us.”

A Jewish Destination Wedding in Puglia

Olivia and Kyle celebrated their Jewish heritage with a ceremony beneath a floral chuppah in the olive grove.

Their friend Jon officiated the ceremony, making it deeply personal. In front of them were the family members and friends who had travelled to Italy to share the experience.

The floral design by Caterina Ruggieri combined hydrangeas, anthuriums, calla lilies and soft natural tones. Later, long tables illuminated by candlelight created a warm and intimate atmosphere for the outdoor dinner.

The aesthetic gave the wedding visual coherence. The guests, their reactions and the changing energy of the celebration gave the film its story.

A Wedding Film Built Around People

A beautiful destination establishes where a wedding takes place, but the people inside it reveal what the experience meant.

For Olivia and Kyle’s film, I wanted to preserve both sides of the celebration. The architecture and landscape of Puglia created the setting. Their voices, traditions, families and friends created its emotional identity.

My approach combines candid observation with an editorial visual language. I pay attention to composition, light, movement and real sound without turning the wedding into a production.

The couple remains free to experience the day while I observe the relationships and spontaneous moments developing around them.

Planning a Wedding at Masseria Don Luigi?

Masseria Don Luigi is particularly suited to couples looking for an authentic Puglian setting surrounded by olive trees, with different spaces that can be used throughout the wedding day.

From a filmmaking perspective, the white architecture, shaded interiors, olive grove and evening candlelight create visual variety without requiring the celebration to move between separate locations.

If you are planning a wedding at Masseria Don Luigi or elsewhere in Puglia and want a film that feels cinematic without losing the spontaneity of your celebration, tell me what you are planning.
