Hi, I’m Luigi.

I’m an Italian destination wedding filmmaker and the founder of Luigi Rainone Films. My background has always been rooted in art, from photography and cinema to my experience as a professional dancer and choreographer.

Photography taught me to observe. Cinema taught me how images, sound and emotion can become a story. Dance taught me to notice movement, rhythm and the small gestures that often happen without anyone paying attention to them.

I realised early on that perfection was never what interested me most. I was drawn to real life, spontaneous reactions, unexpected moments and people being completely themselves.

As an Italian destination wedding videographer, I have seen 10 of my wedding films receive international awards and was named among the Top 5 wedding videographers in Italy by Wevsy in 2025. My work has also been featured by leading wedding and editorial publications including Tatler, Together Journal, La Lista, Carats & Cake, Inspired By This and Loverly.

My approach to wedding filmmaking

I believe a wedding film should feel like the people inside it. My approach to wedding videography is candid and observational: I want you to experience your wedding naturally, without turning the day into a film set or constantly recreating moments for the camera.

My films combine candid storytelling with a refined editorial aesthetic, bringing together composition, colour, natural sound and rhythm without sacrificing authenticity. The goal is never to make every wedding look the same, but to create a film that could only belong to you.

taly remains an endless source of inspiration. Over the years, I have filmed weddings across some of its most distinctive destinations, including Lake Como, Lake Garda, Piedmont, the Amalfi Coast, Sorrento, Puglia, Tuscany, Val d’Orcia, Umbria, Rome and Stromboli, as well as destination weddings in Croatia. Many of the couples I work with travel to Italy from abroad to celebrate with the people they love most. Wherever the celebration takes place, my approach remains the same: observe first, understand the people in front of me and preserve not only how the wedding looked, but how those days actually felt.
